\u2013 Things Are Not What They Seem\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Jewellery artist M\u00e4rta Mattsson and designer Anna Forsberg together challenge preconceived notions of what a piece of jewellery or rug can be.<\/p>\n

As a child, Anna Forsberg was attracted to nature and its creatures \u2013 everything from spiders to butterfly caterpillars. These little creatures became her beautiful, wondrous friends. Inspired by their perfect symmetries, she creates patterns for handmade rugs.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, M\u00e4rta Mattsson approaches her work from a perspective of disgust and fear of insects. When she was a child, she hated everything about them, from their buzzing sounds to alien-like compound eyes. In an intricate creative process, Mattsson transforms the bodies of insects into compelling art jewellery.<\/p>\n

Hide & Seek<\/em> presents two artists joined in their fascination for bugs, and whose works are characterized by exquisite craftsmanship and a natural expressiveness.<\/p>\n
