TOBIAS HOFSÄSS & THOMAS RASCHKE

TRANSPARENT

APRIL 25  – MAY 16, 2015

The exhibition Transparent features photographs of well-known places in Stockholm combined with everyday objects in new and unexpected ways. Visual artist Thomas Raschke and photographer Tobias Hofsäss, both from Germany but now living and working here in Stockholm, present objects and images pertaining to “Swedishness” in many familiar themes.

Raschke’s 1:1 scale iron wire sculptures are juxtaposed with Hofsäss’ suggestive cityscapes in black and white photography. Together, the exhibited works act as an ironic commentary upon the process of being integrated into a culture which is not one’s own.
