SIMON KLENELL

Audio Feedback

OCTOBER 8 – 29, 2016

Swedish designer and craft artist Simon Klenell’s starting point is the history of glass and its tradition of beauty. The glass is given new life and becomes multidimensional through Klenell’s powerful and personal touch. Audio Feedback brings back the technique of silver-plated glass, commonly known as “poor man’s silver”. The sculptural glass objects have their insides coated with silver, creating audio feedback, light and reflections.

Artist talk: Thursday October 6, 5.30 pm. Simon Klenell in conversation with Micael Ernstell, curator at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
