SCENTS & SENSES

Galleri Sebastian Schildt has the great pleasure presenting the exhibition “Scents & Senses” with master perfumer Pierre Wulff, fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon and silversmith Sebastian Schildt.

Ever since the gallery was founded, Sebastian Schildt has had a vision of exhibiting scents and fragrances. After a long-awaited meeting with Pierre Wulff in New York, the dream would finally come true.

Art is about enriching and exploring our senses. Despite the fact that scents and fragrances are at least as important as what we see, it has rarely been offered a place in the contexts that we usually associate with art.

Now the three artists meet in a sensual joint exhibition. Pierre Wulff has created new fragrances inspired by Gilles Bensimon’s poetic photographs “Flowers in Water” housed in Sebastian Schildt’s blown and multicolored glass flacons. The result is the innovative “Scents & Senses” where the experience of scent is central.

All fragrances are created by Pierre Wulff in collaboration with Jérôme Epinette.

The exhibition “Scents & Senses” runs 24 September – 15 October 2022 and is part of Stockholm Craft Week.
