IRON MEETS SILVER

GROUP EXHIBITION

Welcome to Galleri Sebastian Schildt’s exhibition featuring the objects depicted in The Swedish Postal Service’s new edition of stamps titled “Iron Meets Silver”.

In this fine initiative by The Swedish Postal Service, five objects are presented by three Swedish silversmiths and two blacksmiths. Depicted in this 2016 edition of stamps is craftsmanship largely inspired by nature. Petronella Eriksson’s plant-like silver pitcher meets Caroline Lindholm’s bowl of etched silver leaves, Erik Tidäng’s organic bracelet is reminiscent of a vertebrate, while Tore Svensson and Jon Olofsson’s iron forged works are like the infinite universe itself; mighty, saturated and filled with bright spots of light.
