Today, concepts such as local and locally grown are perhaps more highly valued than ever before. Thus, it is unsurprising to see the emotional impact that visual artist Helena Bengtsson’s paper works have on their art audience.

Aside from their simple and pure beauty, her works are made from paper that was once spruce and pine. These artworks are likewise constructed from a material that is usually regarded as an article of consumption but has now made its way into a fine art gallery.
