Galleri Sebastian Schildt has the great pleasure of inviting you to artist Anna Forsberg’s premiere of the “Kingdom Collection”.

With inspiration from nature and textile craft traditions, Anna Forsberg creates exclusive hand-knotted rugs. In the new “Kingdom Collection”, the beetle, the richest species in the entire animal kingdom, has been her muse. The irresistible insect’s detailed graphics and richness of shades has inspired the decorative lines and the flat areas of colour fields in the same spirit as Japanese origami and international Art Déco.

Each rug has been made by hand from Tibetan wool that is consciously dyed with nuances, to give a natural patina and enhance the genuine craftsmanship.

The rugs in the “Kingdom Collection” are both art and interior decoration and work just as well on the floor as hanged on the wall.

Opening Tuesday 8 February at 15-18 in presence of the artist. The exhibition is part of the program for Stockholm Design Week and runs from 8 to 17 February 2022.
