Simon Klenell

Swedish glassblower and designer Simon Klenell creates sculptural and powerful works which often bears traces of the history of glass and its design throughout the years. His strikingly contemporary works allude both to traditional techniques and aesthetics. Silver-plated glass. The exhibition title ”Audio Feedback” refers to the acoustic phenomenon that may occur in electronic sound systems. Purchased by Nationalmuseum in Stockholm after a donation by the Bengt Julin Fund.

Simon Klenell (b. 1985, Sunne) lives and works in Stockholm. He has studied at The National School of Glass in Orrefors and holds an MFA from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Klenell exhibited with Galleri Sebastian Schildt at the international craft and design fair Collect at Saatchi Gallery in London.
