Michael Persson Carling

With the help of gold, silver and precious stones, Michael Persson Carling’s party hats transport us two thousand years back in time. The twelve hats are sculptural personalities and allude to the last supper. His jewellery is likewise sculptural, and both beautiful to look at when worn and when not.

Michael Persson Carling (b. 1961, Gothenburg) lives and works in Gothenburg. He has studied at Sweden's oldest school for goldsmithing which is in Mjölby. Since 1992, Persson Carling has run his own workshop in Gothenburg titled MPC Jewellery. He works as a jewellery artist and mainly creates pieces in gold, silver, platinum and different gemstones. He has had several solo and group exhibitions, both national and international, and is represented at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
