Jewellery artist Märta Mattsson makes art out of her childhood insects phobias. In an intricate craft process, the bodies of the insects are transformed into attractive jewellery. Recently she has also started working with sculptures in glass, also with nature as a theme.
Märta Mattsson, född 1982, bosatt och verksam i Göteborg, utbildad vid Royal College of Art i London och vid HDK – Högskolan för design och konsthantverk i Göteborg där hon numera också tjänstgör som adjunkt. År 2016 tilldelades hon stipendiet Unga Konsthantverkare av Bengt Julins fond. Representerad på Nationalmuseum, Stockholm, Röhsska museet, Göteborg, Schmuckmuseum, Pforzheim och Museum of Arts And Design, MAD, New York m fl.
