Margareth Sandström

Margareth Sandström starts from soft and organic forms that she produces in silver and gold, often set with closely set diamonds. Despite a contemporary expression of her brushed surfaces and anonymous face, it recalls timeless archaic art.

Margareth Sandström, born 1950, lives and works in Linköping, educated at Sweden’s Jewelers and Goldsmiths Association School Strålnäs in Mjölby, Fachhochschule für Gesaltung in Pforzheim and Koninklijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague. Own studio together with Peter de Wit since 1973. Represented by Nationalmuseum, Stockholm and Röhsska museum, Gothenburg. Honorary Doctor at Linköping University.
