Lisen Stibeck
Lisen Stibeck is a natural light photographer. She creates a studio on site of each photo shoot and makes sure to learn how the light changes and travels there over the course of the day; and sets her camera accordingly. The natural light is a tool that heightens the feel of her images, as well as the colours and sense of space. Stibeck appreciates beautiful photography and realized early on that documentary photography was not for her.
Lisen Stibeck (b. 1952, Falun) resides and works on Lidingö, in France and Morocco. She has studied photography in the United States and was a mentee of photographer Mary Ellen Mark. Lisen Stibeck had her first solo exhibition titled Daughters at Fotografiska Stockholm in 2014. The book Daughters was published in the same year.
