Lisa Juntunen Roos creates art through braided coffee packets. Through the traditional craft, she examines the making, the role of tradition and the importance of national identity. Her work is a constant investigation of the feeling of belonging to two different cultures.
Lisa Juntunen Roos, born 1988, lives and works in Stockholm. Educated in textile craftsmanship at Capellagården, journeyman in the handloom profession at Handarbetets Vänners school and MFA in Arts and Crafts at Konstfack. Lisa Juntunen Roos received the 2023 Young Applied Artists award by the Bengt Julin Fund, which is administered by the Friends of Nationalmuseum.
