Helena Bengtsson

Helena Bengtsson skillfully works with different kinds of handicraft. As she realized the enormity of the production in the paper mills in her nearby forests in Värmland, and the sheer amount of paper consumed on a daily basis, Bengtsson was inspired to turn ordinary sheets of paper into magnificent art.

Swedish textile designer and crafter Helena Bengtsson (b.1968, Karlstad) lives and works in Karlstad. She is educated at The Swedish School of Textiles in Borås. In 2002, Bengtsson received the Sloyd Scholarship from The National Association of Swedish Handicraft Societies and The Nordic Museum in Stockholm.
