Eva von Bahr

Throughout her life, Eva von Bahr has worked with the art of telling a story through pictures. In the new photo series, she draws inspiration from Märta Mattsson’s jewellery, the circus company of the 1930s and “Alice in Wonderland”. It is a fateful atmosphere in the world of fantasy with characters such as the clown, the circus director, the fortune-teller, and the tightrope dancer.

Eva von Bahr (b. 1968) is a mask designer and photo artist. She works with Swedish drama film but is also active abroad. Eva von Bahr has won three Guldbagge Awards, been Bafta-nominated, and even Oscar-nominated three times by 2022 for her work with Stellan Skarsgård in the science fiction film Dune. Together with her husband Love Larson, she runs The Makeup Designers Sthlm.
