Ann Wolff
Over the years, Ann Wolff’s unique sculptural work has cemented her position as one of the world’s foremost artists. Wolff is also intimately associated with the development of artistic studio glass both in Sweden and internationally. With a disctinct personal touch, she works in media such as glass, various metals and concrete but also in pastel and drawing.
Ann Wolff (b. 1937, Lübeck) lives and works in Visby and Kyllaj on Gotland, with glass as her primary material. She attended The Ulm School of Design in Germany. Wolff has received numerous awards, including the Glass Art Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2011) and The PRO EUROPA Foundation’s European Culture Prize (2011). Her work is represented in many private and public collections around the world. In 2017, she established the non-profit Ann Wolff Foundation Gotland to promote glass as an artistic medium.
