The conceptual and theorizing silversmith Anders Ljungberg examines the relationship between body, space, and object. A large part of his art is devoted to the understanding and the illuminating of everyday use through emotional, metaphorical and poetic aspects. It shows how the utility objects bear traces of human identity and are marked by history and origin.
Anders Ljungberg, born 1966, resides and works in Stockholm. He attended Nyckelviksskolan and holds an MFA from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm. Since 2016 professor in charge of the master-program Jewellery and Corpus/CRAFT! at Konstfack. Previously served as professor at Oslo Academy of the Arts and as lecturer at Ädellab, Konstfack. His works are represented at the Museum of Decorative Arts and design, Oslo, Marzee Collection, Nijmegen, Netherlands, Röhsska museet, Gothenburg, Nationalmuseum, Stockholm, Nordiska Museet och Stockholm.
