Galleri Sebastian Schildt is delighted to present New York-based artist Anders Knutsson, appearing in two parallel exhibitions: “Multicoloured Monochromes” in both Restaurant Oxenstiernan and the gallery.

Anders Knutsson’s art is based on down-to-earth craftsmanship and pictorial mystique. This is contemporary painting that draws attention to the significance of the material in combination with the work of the hand.

The restaurant also presents monochrome works, but on handmade paper. The gallery shows monumental monochromes painted on woven linen.

Such intense painting appears through the relief effect and the paint that forms the basis of the vibrating colour is handmade. Through many years of experience and piercing energy, Anders Knutsson makes his breathtaking works vibrate with light and colour.
