Designer and craftsman Simon Klenell finds his starting point in the tradition of beauty found in the history of glass. Through a powerful and personal touch, the material is given new life and dimensions. In the exhibition mirrored glass technology, also known as poor man’s silver, finds itself back in the spotlight. The sculptural glass objects have their inside coated in silver, creating light, mirroring and reflection.
National Museum curator Micael Ernstell in discussion with Simon Klenell Thursday, October 6 at 17.30.
The exhibition runs 8-29 October 2016.
